Home care guide

Home care is what either keeps your skin in good condition, or gradually leads to problems.

And the key point is not the amount of products, but how well they are selected.

Home care can:
• even out skin color
• reduce redness and sensitivity
• remove oily shine
• reduce rashes and blackheads points
• remove peeling
• generally bring the skin into a stable state

It can also slightly smooth out fine wrinkles that are associated with dehydration.

But it is important to understand the boundaries.

Deep wrinkles and creases are not removed by cosmetics. This is already working with muscles and fascia. Not a single cream is able to relax the facial muscle and smooth out the formed wrinkle.

Therefore, the best result always comes from a combination of:
• competent home care
• and work with the face (massages, self-massage, taping)

That is why I work with massages and procedures – they complement the care and give results where cosmetics no longer works.

The base, without which nothing works

Any care should have three stages:

Stage 1: Cleansing

Stage 2: Toning

Stage 3: Day creams

Stage 4: Night creams

If you don’t have at least one of them, the care is already working worse.

Cleansing

Cleansing is the most underrated stage.

And at the same time the most problematic.

In my experience, most skin problems begin with improper cleansing.

In most stores and pharmacies, the washrooms are aggressive.

At first it’s just a feeling tightness.
Then the following appear:
• rashes
• blackheads
• oily shine
• or vice versa dryness

That is, you begin to “treat” the skin, although the problem was in the washbasin.

Cleansing should be gentle and not destroy the skin barrier.

In the morning, if the skin is not oily, you can wash your face with just water.
In the evening, it is a must. a mild product.

I select only such products – without aggressive components that spoil the skin.

“Cleansing”

Tonic

Tonic is a step that is most often skipped. And in vain.

After washing, the pH of the skin is disturbed.
And pH is the base on which depends:
• the rate of skin renewal
• the formation of blackheads
• the state of the microbiome

If you skip this stage, the skin may look normal, but the problems will return.

Tonic should be:
• without alcohol
• without surfactants
• with acidifying agents components

These are the options I selected.
“Tonics”.

Day cream

During the day, the skin should be protected.

Especially in Tbilisi, where the sun level is high almost all year round.

In short:
If the UV index is 3 and higher, SPF is required.

And normal SPF:
• safe for the skin
• which can be worn every day
• and which simultaneously cares

A good cream accomplishes several tasks at once:
• moisturizing
• protection
• antioxidants

Without the need to apply 3-4 layers of products.

Go to the SPF section

If the index is low (for example in winter) – you can use a regular day cream.

Night cream

At night the skin is restored.

And if during the day we protect more, then at night we nourish and restore.

The right night cream helps:
• restore the barrier
• improve the condition of the skin
• work with age-related changes

“Night creams.”

Bottom line

You don’t need 10 products to make your skin look normal.

Enough:
• wash
• tonic
• day cream
• night cream

This is a base that already gives results.

Additional care

Everything the rest:
• serums
• masks
• peelings
• eye products

—this is no longer a base, but tools for specific tasks.

If you don’t want to figure it out

Most people make the same mistake:
they buy products at random and then spend years trying to “fix their skin.”

If you want to collect them right away normal care without experiments – it’s easier to ask for a selection.
